  • Peter Seeley +1
  • Brad Stalcup +1Maybe my favorite of the list.
  • judd.baker +1This is my favorite Beatles song and is I think the best and least obvious of the Beatles submissions here

  • Joseph Harvey 0Gosh the Beatles were just great. That one guitar part is so darn cool. Tragically, this is not less than 2 minutes
  • fionmul 0Like I said, Golden Slumbers is just too good and I couldn’t help but compare the other Beatles ones
  • Edward James 0So many Beatles potentials but this one stands out to me for being less known and also fast.

  • fionmul +1They really came up with this and only made it 1:30 🤌🏼 Leave em wanting more ig
  • Edward James +1Almost submitted this myself. One of the most beautiful little tunes ever written. I love the "Paul is Dead" conspiracy, because if he did die, they managed to replace him with the greatest musician/songwriter to ever live.

  • Joseph Harvey +1Cute ending to a phenomenal album

  • fionmul 0This isn’t even the best Beatles submission so that’s what’s tough here
  • Edward James 0Love this, just missed a vote. Paul at his most powerful, just forcing everyone to accept his grandma music.
  • judd.baker 0Who did you bribe at Spotify HQ to make this the last song on the playlist

  • Claire -1I just feel like it makes sense to downvote my least favorite of the three Beatles submissions. Sorry y’all

  • fionmul 0Idk if this is late career enough but maybe I’m just ignorant? It’s a classic but I feel like their stuff was all released so close together anyway But some others impressed me more with their creativity

  • Edward James -1Don’t play cute with us
  • Claire -1Late in the active career of the band, yes, but it doesn’t have that “late in life” vibe that I’m looking for
  • judd.baker -1The peak of a band’s (already famously short) career cannot possibly count as late career.

Spicey Riche: Best Beatles song, no question.

  • judd.baker +1I adore this song. One of my favorite Beatles tracks. It’s beautiful, funny, clever, poignant, everything a narrative song could be. I think Paul McCartney succeeds at doing the Americana thing here.
  • Peter Seeley 0Every time I hear this song , I think of an actual raccoon with a cowboy hat. It is only by the most strenuous mental effort that I dispel this image.
  • Edward James 0It's always important to remember that all the 60s British invasion bands just wanted to be American country and blues artists. Love this song.
  • fionmul 0Some of these are just not really enough to be a story like it’s a fragment of one. Reminds me of reading my middle school students writing assignments and also my 1st graders for that matter.
  • Joseph Harvey 0I would think there would be far more compelling Beatles options than this. This is not all that memorable (the white album is also just kind of weird and not always in a great way)
  • Brad Stalcup 0Rocky faced with a choice as he confronts Gideon's Bible. Will he forgive the man or not? It seems he does not, to his own demise. Loved the honky tonk feel of this one.

  • fionmul 0I almost submitted God’s Plan by Drake lmao and then I found this gem. I had an inkling the Beatles had something for this category The length helps make amends for Pedro Navaja I hope
  • Edward James 0Incredible. Deep cut choice. I don’t actually think if it’s all that well, but I wish I could reward it. Would be a great choice for songs Joseph would hate round two.
  • Joseph Harvey 0St. Augustine would not be down for this level of eastern mysticism
  • Claire 0Yes God is within him, but also Heaven and earth are crying out that they were made by God?
