This song is a transcendent dish at a 5-star restaurant made with vegetables from your dad’s garden. This is truly one for the ages and there is yearning in every note. SamRobertsND +1 — Colincore, in fondest memory Peter Seeley +1 — RIP Collin McCarthy. Edward James +1 — I figure this is Brad, and on that chance I gave it a vote, even though it's been submitted before. It really is a perfect submission, especially because it is about something not yet attained. I think yearning has to be about something you haven't had yet. Regina Scime 0 — I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that this was submitted by someone who wasn’t in the league when this was submitted fionmul 0 — A repeat so I’m gonna not vote for it but obviously a classic banger Claire 0 — So first off: this is one of my favorite songs ever. I know the category doesn’t specify that the yearning in question has to be romantic, but I do think that I’m looking for songs with a sort of pathetic valence. Maybe it’s the CL talking, but this song is about something different to me: there’s a recognition that there’s something right and good about these longings not being fulfilled, and there’s a further truth that this reveals. So sadly it doesn’t get a vote from me (don’t tell Colin) judd.baker 0 — This is a great song and really is perfect for this theme. I guess it just sticks out to me less than some of the other submissions for reasons I can’t fully explain, maybe because it’s too general
Where The Streets Have No Name - Remastered	Road Trip Kickoff	League 6 (Oct 2025)	Claire	3 Joseph Harvey +1 — This is a little too chill for a kickoff, but the iconic intro helps a lot. I love this song so much though fionmul +1 — Yep. it’s basic in some ways but surely the people will exalt it and I won’t be mad Regina Scime +1 Peter Seeley +1 — Very good getting you hyped but not going full bore just yet. Edward James 0 — I do not see this as a road trip kickoff song. This is a late night, 2 hours into the road trip after dark has set in, type of song. Better than I remember it being tho. Claire 0 — I genuinely think this song sounds like what the beginning of a beautiful driving adventure feels like judd.baker 0 — Great song. Kind of an emo start to a road trip tho SamRobertsND -1 — Every damn U2 song is the same, and even so, you go with this instead of the obvious pick, "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For." Mistake! Colin would never have done this!
