fionmul: (the Beatles)

  • Joseph Harvey +1This works

  • fionmul 0I just think this is so cool. I love that he heard the original and was like “Imma cover dat.”
  • SamRobertsND 0Come Together is one of the Beatles hits that never did it for me. These songs seem more of less the same to me in terms of quality.
  • judd.baker 0Not convinced it’s better than the original but MJ’s vocals eat on this track. The “mojo filter / spinal cracker” breakdown at the end cracked me up
  • Claire 0he might be the best to ever do it but this cover wasn’t impressive to me. I expect more from the king
  • Edward James 0This is a great cover and shows MJ has a deep love for this song, but there’s no way it beats the original, and that’s the category 😎

  • fionmul 0Only half counts
  • Claire 0He’s the goat. But once again I’m not convinced that this song is specifically white coded. Like yes white people get down to this but that’s not the same thing? Again maybe I just do not understand what “white people music” is
  • Peter Seeley 0Not "white people" music just because white people enjoy it.
  • Joseph Harvey 0Absolutely banger. Not white coded enough to be a winner, but so great
  • Edward James -1White people do be loving to think about this kind of thing. Not an easy downvote but this seems the least fitting
  • judd.baker -1This song is a masterpiece. I hadn’t re-listened to the lyrics in a while, MJ had an incredible ability to write catchy danceable pop songs that were at the same time incredibly deep and meaningful. There are some bars in this song and his voice is phenomenal. Downvoted cause this is not white people music, this is music for everyone
  • Brad Stalcup -1Considering how all of my black students love michael jackson, i find it very hard to qualify his music as "white people music"
